·       All work must be submitted on time (unless you pre-arrange a late submission at least two days in advance.) This is non-negotiable.

1.   Keep your copy of No Turning Back for now.

2.   Phone situation is untenable. I will be enforcing the no phone policy: either keep it off and out of sight, or drop it in the “Technology Tupperware” or take a trip to the vice principal’s office.

3.   Late work policy: going forward, written assignments will be submitted in Google classroom. Late work will be accepted up to ONE WEEK from the due date. After that, it will not be accepted. (A “week” is defined as 7 days, or 168 hours.) Late work will not receive on-time points. Google classroom determines when work has been submitted and if it is on time.

4.   Create folder in which work will be stored. Work handed back—place these pieces in your folder and then place your folder in the crate.

5.   Review the syllabus  and projects for this semester:
The major project for this semester is the Senior Thesis, which we will begin in the next week or two. It is impossible to pass this semester without writing a passing thesis. The thesis project includes several drafts, an outline, notecards, and an annotated bibliography. I will not accept a final thesis if you have not completed these steps of the thesis project that lead up to the final paper. Finally, plagiarizing the Senior Thesis or portions of the Senior Thesis will result in a “0” on this assignment and will, consequently, result in a failing grade for this semester, which will result in not earning credit, which will result in not graduating.

     6.   Registering for PCC credit explained. We will register next week.

     7.   My Plan Essay is a graduation requirement. Not very many people have submitted it into Google classroom. Review the prompt. Please submit this into Google classroom by February 1.

8.   Work on My Plan essay for the rest of the period
