Feminism

63 minutes (ACT day)

1.   Reminder/ Review: Thesis assignment. Thesis calendar 

2.   Instructions on how to do note cards. Consider using a concept map to map out the various subtopics that will make up your thesis (and will form the subtopic headings on your notecards) 

3.   Instructions on quoting, paraphrasing and summarizing. Examples of and tips on paraphrasing 

4.   You can do this exercise on paraphrasing on your own and check your answers here 

5.   Review MLA format for works cited page  

6.   Copies of We Should All Be Feminists handed out and field trip discussed 

7.   Early Dismissal today: Work on locating evidence that you think you will use in your thesis; work on your note cards; work on your works cited page; and/or read Morgan Jenkins’ essay and complete the questions for it that are due on Friday. You will have half the period on Friday for thesis work.

HOMEWORK:  This Will Be My Undoing chapter “The Stranger at the Carnival” along with response questions—DUE on Friday, February 22 AT THE BEGINNING OF CLASS. Response questions are in google classroom.
